Hey Good Morning Ron and Don Nation!
Can you believe it?! The holidays are right at our doorstep and I almost forgot to do one of my favorite things…..
I forgot to stop by Les Schwab to drop off non-perishable food items in time for the holidays.
Luckily our dump truck who we call “Chris Carson” (running back for your Seattle Seahawks), developed a flat when we were doing some demo work the other day for our real estate business.
I pulled into Les Schwab to get Carson’s flat repaired, and I saw THE COLLECTION BOX sitting in their showroom in Ballard. There was ONE LONELY CAN OF TUNA IN THERE! HATE TUN A YOU GUYS! That is some dead stinkified fish!
Then I asked the staff how much time I had…..they said it would be about 30 minutes.
Perfect! That was just enough time to walk over to the local Trader Joe’s and load up on items for families, babies, and even puppy dogs. Who knew they have an Advent Calendar now for dogs with treats behind every window. So cool!
So I loaded up my cart, headed back to the store and did my best to fill the box in Ballard.
But guess what?
There are 83 other locations that have boxes out, and they really need our help this holiday season as many families in Washington State are experiencing food insecurity, and the cost of food for many food banks has gone through the roof you guys because of inflation.
So I am asking you to please stop by a Les Schwab Store in your neighborhood to fill up those boxes for Food Life Line. This is a great organization that helps over 300 food banks through out our whole state. You may be feeding a family is Yelm this year!
And if you can’t stop by, here is a link that you can click on and give cash, and Food Life Line will then go purchase food on your behalf.
The Ron and Don Nation has always been amazing this time of year. We have been filling these boxes with Les Schwab Tire Centers for well over 13 years.
It’s what I love about this company, and what I love about ALL OF YOU!
Les himself always said “that doing the right things matters, “ and the men and woman of Les Schwab carry on that tradition and dedication to this day.
I worked on the box in Ballard.
Send me a note and let me know what box you are working on in your neighborhood so we can talk about you on the podcast!
Also, check out Episode #338 this week where we talk more about this terrific event .
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the Ron and Don Nation……
And now somebody please go fix the real Chris Carson’s wheel!
THE HAWKS NEED HIM BACK!
Love and Respect,
KEEP DOING THE RIGHT THING YA”ALL!
