If you even pay slight attention to the news, you undoubtedly have seen headlines about the changes in interest rates and their effects on the real estate market. 

Depending on the messenger, the stories range from “The Sky Is Falling” to “Probably Not A Huge Deal.”

While we can’t speak to the market as a whole, The Ron & Don Nation has been doing quite well in these changing times.

I think the one of the biggest reasons is our willingness to be nimble and adjust our strategies to meet the market where it’s at. There is not a “one size fits all” approach to buying or selling a home. When market conditions change, you have to be willing to change your approach and expectations.

Congrats to Tony!

Tony was looking for a place closer to his family with room for his pup. We were able to close this house almost $40,000 under list price. Tony was also able to preserve protections that were routinely waived even a few months ago.

Congrats to Jana!

Jana is a first time home buyer. We’ve been looking for quite a while and she was getting discouraged at how the market was putting undue pressure on people like herself. When the market started changing, Jana saw it as an opportunity. We were able to get this home under contract below list price and keep our inspection contingency. Jana will be moving in next week.

Congrats to Darla!

We helped Darla sell her home on the Eastside earlier this year. She had been looking to downsize, and we found the perfect condo for her. It’s under contract below list price, and we’ve already inspected it.

On the seller side, we’ve also been seeing great results. It’s important to have your home looking its best when you bring it to market. We are not seeing homes with a lot of deferred maintenance getting into bidding wars right now.

After putting in a lot of hustle to make some upgrades before listing, we were rewarded with 6 offers on our offer review date.  The winning offer escalating above our list price and waived the inspection contingency as well.
